The BJP expects 10,000 people to gather during the visit of its national president Amit Shah to Dakshina Kannada district on August 21.
Shah will attend the main event being organised as part of 'Balidana Smarane', to recall the sacrifice of freedom fighters, at the Mangalore University auditorium at Konaje.
The BJP expects 4,000-5,000 people for this event alone, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said on Thursday.
Shah will also attend other small events. In total, the BJP expects 10,000 people to participate.
BJPstate president BSYeddyurappa, Union ministerDVSadananda Gowda, state general secretary Arvind Limbavali and other leaders will join Shah on the day.
