Accusing Lieutenant General Najeeb Jung of being the spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party, the Aam Aadmi Party saturday bombarded the LG with several questions and said it is hiding behind the Centre to cover up his unconstitutional actions.
"Jung should stop behaving like a political spokesperson of his latest adopted outfit- the BJP. He is hiding behind the Narendra Modi government to cover up his unconstitutional and illegal action, the AAP said in a statement.
Calling CBI as a caged parrot, the party alleged that the Modi government has tried to intimidate the Delhi government by using the agency against them for political vendetta.
"Jung should in no uncertain terms convey to his political masters that the AAP and the Delhi government cannot be cowed down by the threat of using the caged parrot, the CBI for political vendetta against us. The AAP government of Delhi is working for the people and is not afraid of Jung's machinery and falsehoods being spread by him," it said.
Terming it as "matter of survival" to bully the officers working for Delhi government, the AAP said the LG's actions are clearly unbecoming of the constitutional post held by him and his attempts to please his 'political masters' would not deter the party to work for the people in Delhi.
AAP threatened to expose the alleged wrongdoings of the LG including his role in avoiding the holding of fresh elections in Delhi in 2015.
"It is strange that Mr Jung, whose own role is under the scanner in the CNG fitness scam, is presiding over the Delhi ACB to harass the ministers and MLAs of Delhi," the release added.
