The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike will take up cleanliness drive at KRMarket every Saturday.
Mayor G Padamavathi said here on Saturday that the Palike would also set up a committee for ensuring cleanliness and efficient waste disposal at the market. The committee would comprise senior BBMP officials, corporators and representatives from non-governmental organisations.
Around 200 pourakarmikas and volunteers took part in the cleanliness drive at the KR market. The mayor too wielded a broom. More than 500 students of Reva University cleaned their campus in Yelahanka as part of Swachh Bharat mission on Saturday.
