Traffic was disrupted near Tin Factory on Old Madras Road on Wednesday morning when a KSRTC bus conductor and a home guard got into an altercation in the middle of the road.

The police said that Ramya, a home guard, was deployed at Tin Factory to regulate traffic.

A KSRTC bus attached to Mulbagal depot was coming from Majestic and was going on its way to Mulbagal.

The driver stopped the bus in the middle of the road to drop the passengers, causing traffic congestion.

Ramya asked the bus conductor Vishwanath Reddy to inform the driver to move the bus. But Reddy started abusing Ramya, leading to an altercation between them.
Reddy alighted from the bus and tried to assault Ramya, added the police.

Meanwhile, the public intervened and alerted the police control room, who informed the Krishnarajapuram traffic police.

Both of them were pacified and were taken to the Krishnarajapuram police station where Ramya and Reddy were made to apologise to each other.

Several complaints
"There are several complaints about private and KSRTC buses stopping at the Tin Factory though they have a designated bus stop near ITI Gate.

"The matter is being looked into and necessary steps will be taken," said a senior police officer.
