India on Wednesday dismissed Pakistan Prime Minister M Nawaz Sharif's speech to his country's parliament, stating that it once again betrayed Islamabad's links with terrorists.

After Sharif referred to slain Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani as a "son of the soil of Kashmir", sources in New Delhi said that his remarks showed Pakistan's "continued attachment with terrorism".

Wani had been killed in an encounter with the security forces in Kashmir in early July.

Addressing a joint session of Pakistan's parliament in Islamabad on Wednesday, Sharif said that the death of Wani, "a son of the soil of Kashmir", had reminded India to give Kashmiris their right to self-determination. Sharif has eulogised Wani earlier too.

Ever since the killing of Wani triggered unrest in the Valley, Pakistan has been trying to raise its pitch on the issue of Kashmir and launched a propaganda accusing India of committing atrocities on Kashmiris.India on Wednesday dismissed Pakistan Prime Minister M Nawaz Sharif’s speech to his country’s parliament, stating that it once again betrayed Islamabad’s links with terrorists.
