Two youths were killed in a road accident after the bike in which they were travelling crashed into a compound wall on Yelahanka main road in the early hours of Friday. According to police, the deceased have been identified as Adarsh Vasudev, 23, and Issac Antony, 24, both natives of Kerala. They were residing at Yelahanka town. Adarsh was pursuing MBA at a private college while Issac had completed his engineering and was on a job hunt.
The accident occurred around 2.30 am when they were returning from a friend's house in HSRLayout. Adarsh was riding the bike with Issac on the pillion. As they reached the Thirumala dhaba cross, Adarsh, who was speeding, lost control over the bike and jumped the road median, hitting the compound of the vacant plot. The collision threw both of them to the other side of the five-foot-high wall.
Both sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. Nearby residents woke up to the sound of the crash and alerted the Yelahanka police. Both were shifted to a nearby private hospital, where they were declared brought dead, said the police. Adarsh's blood sample has been sent for examination to check if he was riding the bike drunk.Both of them were not wearing helmet at he time of the accident according ot the police. Yelahanka traffic police have registered a case.
