The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team which probed the II PU Chemistry question paper leak has decided to direct the inspector of New Extention police station, Tumakuru, to file an additional charge sheet in connection with the Biology question paper leak case in 2013.
The New Extention police had mentioned in the charge sheet that the source of the Biology question paper leak in 2013 was unknown. The CID had arrested Santosh Agasimani, the SDC of Hangal treasury office, for his involvement in the II PU Chemistry question paper leak in 2016. He had revealed during interrogation that he had helped Shivakumaraiah, the kingpin in the racket, in getting the Biology paper.
The police had arrested Mallesh near Alankar Bar on the outer ring road in Tumakuru while he was trying to sell the Biology question paper.The police had arrested other suspects based on his inputs.
Agasimani confessed before the judge on his role in leaking the Biology question paper from the Hangal treasury office. Hence, CID sleuths decided to direct the police to file the additional charge sheet referring Agasimani's confessions.
