Social Welfare Minister H Anjaneya on Thursday said the state government is moving steadily to create a slum-free Bengaluru and in this regard, funds will be released for building houses for the urban poor.
He was addressing people at a programme organised to issue hakku patras (title deeds) to 259 families at B R Ambedkar Nagar in Yelahanka.
He was accompanied by Bengaluru Development Minister K J George, Mayor G Padmavathi and others. He said the role of Dalits in maintaining cleanliness in society is laudable and hence, the state government focuses on their development.
