The high court on Wednesday directed United Breweries Holding Limited (UBHL) to approach the Adjudicating Authority (AA) in Delhi to access documents available with the Enforcement Directorate. The AA in this case comes under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.
UBHL had approached the court after there was no judge appointed to the AA. Justice A S Bopanna, disposing of the petition, directed UBHL to approach AA as a judge was appointed.
ED had contended that it possesses certain documents of UBHL and Kingfisher Airlines relating to a fraud case and statements of bank officials. UBHL has sought these documents.
