A Railway Protection Force (RPF) head constable was mowed down by a goods vehicle at MS Palya Junction on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as M Shivaprakash (48) from Channapatna taluk in Ramanagaram district. He was attached to the Yeshwantpur railway station.
According to the police, the accident took place at 11.45 pm when the victim was returning to his house in Yelahanka. Shivaprakash came under the front wheel of the vehicle and sustained severe injuries. He died on the spot. The driver abandoned the vehicle and absconded after the accident, said the police.
