A 19-year-old domestic help was found hanging from the ceiling with a dupatta at her employer's home on Wednesday in Southwest Delhi's Dwarka.
Savitri was found dead at K C Dilip's home in Vidyut Apartments. His wife and son found her hanging. She started working with them since the past few months.
Savitri's parents alleged that she was killed by K C Dilip. However, police said that the neighbours said the Dilips were good people and took good care of her.
Police said before they reached the spot, neighbours and Dilip's wife had managed to get inside the locked house. Dilip, originally from Kerala works as a bank manager in Gurgaon. He went to work that day at around 10 am.
Dilip's wife had gone out with her son at around 12 pm and returned at 12.30 pm and found the house locked. When they knocked, rang the bell and also called on their landline a few times there was no response. Then they called a mason to get the door opened.
Around 15 people from the neighbourhood had gathered and the window pane was removed and window was opened. A child was sent inside to open the door. When they went inside they saw Savitri hanging. She called Dilip first and he came home. Savitri's parents were also called later.
Police said that there is no charge of murder against Dilip in the complaint. It was later raised by Savitri's parents.
