A 28-year-old engineer-cum-MBA graduate cheated a money changer who gave him over Rs 3 lakh in dollars denomination for going abroad. The Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested him in Goa on Sunday.

On September 5, he called Sanjay Dutt Sharma, a money changer from VLK Forex Pvt Ltd, Rajendra Place. Dass said he needed around $5,000 to go to the US and asked him to come with the money to his office in Connaught Place.
When Sharma went there, Dass said he wanted to check if the currency is genuine and went to another room and fled with the money. He also switched off his phone.
Dass worked as an engineer for many years, but last year he met Dmitri, a Russian in a Khan Market Bar and was influenced to go abroad with him.
