Anupama Shenoy, who resigned as deputy superintendent of police, Kudligi, has written to the government seeking to withdraw her resignation.
"Iwrote to the state government on August 29 conveying my decision to withdraw my resignation. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah himself called me asking the reason for repeatedly changing my decision. But, I am yet to get a final reply from the government," Shenoy said in Mangaluru on Saturday. She was speaking at a programme organised by Yuva Brigade in the city.
Shenoy said the chief minister told her that he too was facing a situation of putting in his papers. She said that she had cited "technical" reasons for withdrawing her resignation.
"Ihave received a reply stating that my request would be looked into. The government was in a hurry to accept my resignation in a span of five days. But, I am unable to understand the delay in acting on my request now," she said. The former police officer said that she had no plans to join politics.
