The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has planned a campaign for strengthening the party in the state.
KPCCworking president Dinesh Gundu Rao told reporters here on Saturday that the campaign, "Janara Balige Pakshada Nadige" (Party Towards People) will be held from October 2 to November 9. The details of this campaign will be discussed at the party executive scheduled for September 27 at Dharwad. He said that the Congress has chalked out an year-long programme to mark the birth centenary celebrations of former prime minister Indira Gandhi.
"AICCvice president Rahul Gandhi is on a tour. The appointments to the boards and corporations in the state will be finalised soon after his arrival. The process is likely to be completed by the end of this month," Dinesh said.
